There is a quiet reading room in the library, room L15. It is near the Building 7 elevator.

There are also 8 small group study rooms for students. Bring a current photo ID (Tartan, Drivers, Military, Passport, etc.) to the service desk and you can check out a study room for two hours. If there's a waiting list, groups of 2 or more have priority. It can be quiet in non-peak hours.

There are 4 noise reduction study booths located throughout the library. They seat one person and can be checked out for two hours (like the study rooms) when you present your current photo ID at the service desk.

You might also like the individual study desks built in between the columns at the back of the library, behind the nonfiction collection. It can be quiet there as well.

  1. For the group study rooms, if no one else needs them, is there a way to extend the time? Or is there a wait period between checkouts? Thank you.

  2. Yes, if there is nobody on the wait list, group study rooms can be extended,
