Bring the book you want to the service desk and we'll check it out to you using your Tartan card or picture ID. Most books can be borrowed for three weeks and you can check out up to 50 at a time. Textbooks for classes are usually kept on reserve, which means they are kept at the service desk and can be checked out for three hours at a time, to be used in the library.

If you are off-campus and wish to request a book to be held for you to pick up later, you will need to find the book in our Library catalog, and click on the Request link. You will enter your name and 9 digit Sinclair Tartan ID number. The book will be put on hold for you within a few hours and will be held for 10 days.

You must be currently taking classes for your Tartan card to be valid at the library. Non-students can only use library materials in the library.
