A good way to find biographies written about African Americans is to do a search in the library catalog exactly like this: african american* biography That will show you what titles we have with the newest ones displayed first.

There is no specific section for biographies in the Sinclair Library. Biographies are shelved within their relevant subject areas. For example, a biography of the author Gwendolyn Brooks would be in the literature section while a book about Barack Obama would be in the section for U.S. history.
