There is a quiet reading room in the library, room L15. It is near the elevator.
There are also six small group study rooms for students. Bring your Tartan card to the service desk and you can check out a study room for two hours. If there's a waiting list, groups of 2 or more have priority. They can be quiet in non-peak hours.
You might also like the individual study desks built in between the columns at the back of the library, behind the nonfiction collection. It's quiet there, too.
In Building 7 on the 2nd floor, there is an open area with pods of desks, It tends to be a quiet area as well.
